Therapy Resource Network, or TRN for short, is an online tool developed to bring therapists and educators closer to their students. We work with so many phenomenal therapists in the field and wanted to give these great educators a chance to use their personally developed tools, strategies, and expertise to assist people who require a more in-depth learning experience.
Our goal is to create a community of therapeutic educators that can reach out to help families and individuals who maybe geographically, financially, or physically unable to connect with us otherwise. Especially with the ongoing pandemic, TRN hopes to give those people in need an opportunity to seek the help they are looking for.
Are there technical requirements to use TRN?
Therapy Resource Network (TRN) requires a web browser and may need a high-speed Internet connection. We recommend use the following for optimal performance:
Internet Browsers: Apple Safari version 7.0 and above, Mozilla Firefox version 38.0 and above, Internet Explorer 10.0 and above, Google Chrome version 42 and above, and Microsoft Edge. We strongly recommend keeping your browser up-to-date.
We encourage you to enable cookies and JavaScript to maximize your experience while using TRN. Cookies help to have full functionality within the website and reduce loading times. If you have any questions regarding our cookie policy, please reference our Terms of Use.
Do I need permission to film students/patients/clients in my videos?
Yes, you do!
You always want to have signed consent from the individual you film before you film them and/or use their name or likeness within your video. Everyone has the legal right to privacy, therefore, individuals have the right to say no if they do not want their name, picture/image or other distinguishable information publicly posted and/or sold. This is especially important with patients, students, clients, etc. who are minors. Parental consent is required in such cases.
As proof of consent, it is important for you, the filmmaker, to acquire a release form from each and every individual you include in your videos. If the subjects are children, you need to acquire a minor release form from their parent or guardian. We recommend you store these consent forms, for they function as your legal documentation. For your convenience, we have provided a consent form that you may use for your video materials on Therapy Resource Network.
Are there payout rates and fees for publishers?
All members can make purchases and download resources. Only Vendors (Shop Sellers) can upload, share, and sell resources. TRN keeps a percentage of each sale as a service fee and passes the rest on to you.
How do I refund a customer?
Create a support ticket and TRN will manage refunds on the vendors behalf. Each refund is on a case by case basis and determined on whether the customer has made use of the downloadable content. There is also a time sensitive restriction for each refundable purchase.
How do I collect payment?
Excellent question!
Vendor payouts are directly deposited into the banking account provided at sign up. Transactions usually take a few days to process before funds are deposited.
How do I change my direct deposit banking information?
During account activation your personal Stripe account handles all of your banking and revenue needs. Simply log into your personal Stripe account to discover all the possibilities.
What is Stripe?
TRN has partnered with Stripe to bring secure banking transactions to its vendors. To learn more visit:

Why does TRN/Stripe need my social security number?
TRN has partnered with Stripe to bring secure banking transactions to its vendors. Thanks to this partnership, TRN is able to offer its vendors top tier security when it comes to processing income payments correctly. As a vendor on the TRN platform, you are able to make a substantial income and for vendors who meet the right income criteria a taxable income earned credit must be issued to each vendor every year. The use of the vendor SSN# allows TRN with Stripe’s portal to properly track and issue 1099-misc forms during tax season.
We strive to make sure that our vendors are operating correctly and don’t get any surprises from the IRS because they made too much money.
